| I went to cosmetology school here in Rockford and graduated in 2001. I started working in a salon in town until 2002 when I began working for Regis and continuing my education more extensively in color. By 2004 I was promoted to manager at Regis where I also continued to work as a stylist. In 2006 I moved to Chicago and transferred to a management position/stylist in the suburbs. I decided it was time to come home in January of 2007 when I made the move to August. I have never loved a salon more and I don't even like to call it my job because it's too fun to be one! The services I offer are haircuts, color, highlights, formal upstyles, body waves, facial/leg/back/chest waxing, manicures, pedicures and ear candling. I enjoy every minute of what I do and it's so exciting for me to be able to make people feel so good about themselves! |
| Having been a hair stylist and nail tech for over 13 years I am happy to say that I get to do what I love every day! I started doing hair here in Rockford in 1995 and became a nail tech as well in 1998. I opened august, the salon in September of 2002 and, as much as I love my clients and my job, I found that ownership was cutting into the time I wanted to spend with them. I sold the salon to Tereasa in November of 2007 and have thoroughly enjoyed concentrating on what I really love! I have taken over 200 hours of continuing education in color, cutting, and nails over the years and became a certified Colorist in 2000. |

| After working for 22 years in the medical field I was ready to take on a new challenge! I have known Andi socially for two years and when I heard that she was ready to sell the salon I thought this was what I was looking for. I have owned august,the salon since November and have plans of future expansion in the areas of massage, skin care and possibly tanning. I have 15 years of management experience both in nursing and the service industry, 10 years of teaching in nursing and have owned my own nursing uniform business and Mineral Body Wrap business. I am the mother of 3 and grandmother of 4 and am enjoying this new chapter in my life! |

| I graduated from Tricoci University of Beauty Culture, in 2006. I started my career at Regis at the CherryVale Mall. I moved from there to another local salon before finding the perfect place for me – August the Salon! August has a very relaxed and comfortable atmosphere not only to work in, but for the clients also. I offer haircuts, color, highlights, updo’s and facial waxing. |
